生の声

We asked the Goto family (The mother, Etsuko, the second son, Yoshihiro, and the father, Tomihiko) what they thought about the above choices. Their conversation focused mainly on the use of ageru and yaru. 

 

The use of ageru and yaru being so controversial, we also asked two men in their late twenties.  Ikeda is a computer engineer who likes fast cars. He is the one who leads the conversation and speaks often. Ken is Laotian of Chinese background who has lived in Japan since teenage years, and is married to a Japanese woman. He runs an Asian food import business.
