●英語Ｃ（中級）心IＢ
　　―Let's practice using English!―

This course is for you to build confidence in communicating in English that you have already studied. You will practice all four skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing in class. Your main goals are 1) to be able to express your feelings and opinions on a range of everyday topics, 2) to be able to respond to what your classmates and teacher say, 3) to be able to keep the conversation going. You will have listening homework on a regular basis.

The class will meet only once a week. Therefore, your regular attendance is a must. We will generally follow the textbook (English Firsthand 2) in class. However, the syllabus is flexible and supplementary activities will be also provided to meet your abilities, interests, and needs.

It will be a student-centered class. There will be many opportunities for you to express your own ideas. You will work mostly in pairs and small groups. You will have homework on a regular basis, at least two short tests, and two exams, one at the end of each term.

Grades will be determined by attitude and participation (30％), in-class and homework assignments (30％), term tests (20％), short tests (10％), and attendance (10％)．
