This course is designed to enable you to further enhance your skills in oral expression at an advanced level, with the emphasis placed on learning how to develop and express your own opinions.
No Text will be used. Students will be encouraged to choose their own topic of discussion for periodic presentations and group work. Some of the topics which will be discussed include a study and discussion of cultural differences and contemporary social issues which will serve to broaden the students overall perspective and understanding of life in and outside of Japan.

The instructor will provide topics; background reading materials and other necessary materials for pre-discussion. Lectures will serve as a tool for providing background information and for developing students listening skills.

第２学期（学年末試験）
Grades will be based on attendance; participation; group work and on researching and writing projects. Your final grade will be comprised of weekly performance.

This is a Seminar Course -- therefore we will not use a set Text Book.

A Dictionary is needed. Students may use an Electronic Dictionary.
