This course aims to achieve the following: 1. Expand knowledge of economics and business-related vocabulary 2. Develop the ability to quickly read and understand economics-related articles in books, newspapers and magazines. 3. Become more accustomed to discussing economics and business-related matters in English
Class activities: 1. Reading at home as preparation for in-class activities 2. Short presentations in English summarizing the readings done at home 3. Student-guided discussions in small groups based on the readings 4. Vocabulary quizzes based on the readings 5. Teacher feedback regarding English and communication (presentation and discussion techniques)

Readings will be distributed by the teacher in class.

Since this is a discussion class, enrollment will be limited to 20 students. An English proficiency check will be done on the first day of class to ensure that all participants can engage actively in class discussions. All students must have an e-mail address. Students cannot continue on to the second-term class.
