This course will focus on conversation skills and vocabulary in context. Students can expect to improve their overall understanding of grammar and their general listening skills. Classroom activities will include pair and group work, as well as teacher-led listening practice. Each class will include some listening.

１	Introductions. Discussion of teacher and student expectations.
２	Starting a conversation; wh-questions; yes/no questions.
３	Descriptive Adjectives; possesive adjectives; descriptions of people.
４	Adverbs of frequency; how much/how many/how often; routines.
５	Present continuous; work and occupations.
６	Present continuous for future; Weekend activities.
７	Prepositions of time and place; entertainment; making and accepting invitations.
８	Review.
９	Grammar Test.
10	Discussion.
11	Vocabulary Review and Activites.
12	Vocabulary Test.
13	Descriptive adjectives; comparing products and prices.
14	Comparatives and superlatives; shopping and prices.
15	Simple past; time clauses.
16	Talking about a vacation; describing or asking about a trip.
17	Present perfect (have you ever?); Talking about past experiences.
18	Giving advice; Modals for advice and suggestions.
19	Prepositions of place; imperatives; describing locations.
20	Intentions; Predictions; Talking about future plans.
21	Going to and will for future plans; degrees of probability.
22	Review.
23	Grammar Test.
24	Discussion.
25	Vocabulary Review and Activities.
26	Vocabulary Test.

Students will participate in pair and group work. Active participation is required in every class. Students will be expected to maintain a vocabulary notebook as homework. There will be two exams in each term: one grammar and one vocabulary. There will be an oral quiz during the second term.
