授業の目的・内容

This is a current affairs course which requires both a high level of English and a keen interest in global issues. Students will need to do research on the Internet and read numerous articles in order to fully understand the background and present situation of each issue. Students will then discuss issue and present their views in groups and to the class.

授業方法

This is a student-centered class. Students will be encouraged to become autonomous learners and contributors.

成績評価の方法

第1学期 (学期末試験) :試験を実施する
第2学期 (学年末試験) :試験を実施する
There will be vocabulary quizzes every week. Also, there will be an oral exam at the end of each semester. These exams will be conducted in groups and be based on course work.
Students will be evaluated according to their participation in class every week, assignments and group work.

教科書

No text book is required. Photocopies of relevant articles will be provided. Students will also be responsible for doing research on relevant issues and bringing information to class.
