2008年にBBC（英国放送協会）のテレビで報道されたニュース番組を教材としたテキストを用いて、リスニングの力を伸ばすとともに、スクリプトを読むことによって放送英語の特徴に慣れることを主な目的とします。また３週間毎にもう一冊のサブテキストを用いてTOEICテストのリーディング・セクション対策のためのトレーニングも行います。

毎回授業の初めに前のレッスンに関する小テスト（ボキャブラリー・ディクテーション等）があります。BBCのテキストに関しては付属の自習用DVDを使ってディクテーション等の予習をしてくることが必要です。TOEICのテキストを使う週は、答えあわせと問題の解説を中心に授業を進めます。

第1学期 （学期末試験） ：試験を実施する

出席10％、小テスト20％、授業参加態度20％、定期試験50％による総合評価
