The aim of the class is for students to practice and improve their writing skills in English. Many opportunities will be given for students to express their own ideas in writing, while learning the basics of paragraph construction.

１	Introductions and explanations.
２	Chapter 1. Organizing ideas.
３	Writing about your interests.
４	Chapter 2. Layout and constructing a paragraph.
５	Writing a topic sentence and supporting ideas.
６	Chapter 3. Narration. Tell a story using time order signals.
７	Write a biography of someone famous.
８	Chapter 4. Ordering information by importance.
９	Advantages and disadvantages.
10	Chapter 5. Describe a space. Using prepositions of place.
11	Brainstorm ideas for an essay and write a draft. Chapter 6.
12	Revise, edit and rewrite your draft.
13	Submit final draft. Presentations and progress test.

In class, students will work in a variety of ways. Some class time will be devoted to individual writing assignments and doing practice exercises from the textbook. Pre-writing activities will often involve students working in pairs or small groups to share ideas before writing. Students will often share, present and discuss their written work with classmates as well as with the teacher.
