授業の目的・内容

The primary aim of the course is to improve your skills in academic writing. The course will focus on three main areas; proper sentence construction, the structure of various types of paragraphs (e.g., narrative, descriptive, process, comparative, etc.), and the organization and writing of essays. Important secondary objectives will include using word processing software, and connecting with your own creative inner self.

授業方法

Students will work individually and in pairs and groups doing writing, revising, and assessment activities. Afterward, student compositions will be used as a catalyst for sharing thoughts and feelings in English. Use of the Internet for research purposes will be encouraged.

成績評価の方法

Attendance, Punctuality, Homework - 30%, Participation and creative completion of all class assignments and improvement on course objectives - 40%, Self, peer, and teacher evaluations and submitted compositions - 30%

「アカデミック・ライティング演習(中級)」は、英語英米文化学科によってクラスの割り振りが行われる。2年生ガイダンスに必ず出席し、指示に従うこと。また、3年生以上の再履修者は英語英米文化学科事務室に相談すること。
