授業の目的・内容

The aim of this course is to develop students' confidence and fluency in oral communication. Students will begin the course talking about themselves and then will advance to discussing life topics, including a mix of national and international topics that are interesting, relevant and real. The first semester will cover the first half (units 1 to 11) of the textbook; and the second semester will cover the second half (units 12 to 22). However, some textbook units may be omitted and some other materials added depending on the level and interests of the students.

授業方法

Classroom activities will include listening, note-taking, role plays, discussions and presentations. Students will be required to do about one hour of preparation per week.

成績評価の方法

Grades will be determined based on speeches, presentations, classroom participation, homework, attendance, and overall progress.
