The primary focus of this class is to allow the students to exchange ideas, formulate opinions, and to respond to each other in a natural flow of conversation. A variety of themes will allow an atmosphere for discussion.

The pace of each class will depend on student involvement and the expansion of each theme.

An overview of each unit's theme will be explained. Students are to contribute knowledge, experiences and comments related to that theme. Sophisticated material will be presented provided by the National Geographic Magazine. Listening activities will coordinate with each theme.
There will be pair work, group discussion, interviews, surveys, class presentations, and projects.
