授業の目的・内容

This is an advanced course in which you will develop strategies for listening, note-taking, academic discussion and making presentations. We will watch lectures on business, the media, science, psychology, and art and design. Through the lectures you will develop your listening and note-taking skills. We will have class/group/pair discussions based on the lectures. The topics in the text we will use are very interesting and up-to-date, and should help build your awareness of the world around you. Furthermore, the text allows you to download all of the video material used in the class so that you can study/review on your own.
