授業の目的・内容

This course will show students not only the diverse nature of the issues that foreign policy-makers now face but also the complexity of these issues. It will represent the global "voice from above" since most of the speakers will be senior diplomats.

8 What are the main characteristics of Nigeria's foreign policy?
9 What is happening in Egypt?
10 Does Brazil get the recognition it deserves?
11 What progress are the negotiations with Iran making?
12 What are the main characteristics of South Korea's foreign policy?
13 What are the main characteristics of Japan's foreign policy?
14 In-class test based on the speakers' talks

授業方法

Weekly talks provided by senior personnel from embassies in Tokyo. The speakers will be chosen, invited and introduced, their talks will be summarised, and the class discussion will be chaired each time by the lecturer
