This course is designed to help students learn how to write several types of paragraphs using a step-by-step approach. In the first term, students will learn the importance of writing outlines, working with peers
& doing rewrites. In addition, there will be regular timed-writing exercises on specific issues.

15	Independent research

A more comprehensive course schedule will be handed out in class. Some changes maybe made depending on class level.

Class begins with a timed-writing activity, therefore students should arrive on time with textbooks. Homework will be checked. Late homework will not be accepted.

Participation, attitude ：10％

Journal and homework ：10％

Outlines and paragraphs ：30％

Final test：50％

「アカデミック・ライティング演習（初級）Ⅰ」は、英語英米文化学科によってクラス指定が行われる。新入生ガイダンスに必ず出席し、指示に従うこと。また、２年生以上の再履修者は英語英米文化学科事務室に相談すること。
