The aim of this course is to survey a wide range of questions that are addressed by the discipline of Applied Linguistics

4	How do we learn our mother tongue?
5	How do we acquire a second or other language?
6	What is the role of input, output, and noticing in SLA?
7	What role do emotions play in language learning?
8	What role do other people play in language learning?
9	What is grammar and how do we learn it?
10	What is vocabulary and how do we learn it?
11	What is standard English?
12	Why is English an international language and is this a good thing?
13	How do people use language to mark their identity?
14	Summary and review
15	Comprehension Check

Students will listen to a lecture, followed by questions and discussion. Students are expected to write a reflection on the lecture for homework each week.

「英語教育特別演習」は、英語英米文化学科によってクラス編成が行われる。この教科の履修を希望する学生は、３月24日（月）から４月４日（金）までの申請期間内に履修希望アンケートに回答し、仮登録の手続きを取らなければならない。手続きは指定された期間内に、英語英米文化学科事務室、及び各学年ガイダンスで取ることができる。仮登録を申請せずに履修登録を行っても履修が認められないので注意すること。
