授業概要

前半は、VOA（Voice of America)　Special English （英語を母語としない人向けのアメリカの国営放送）を用いて、シャドーイング等をすることにより英語の聴解力を伸ばし、相手が理解しやすい発音を学習します。後半は、国際問題（Global Issues) を扱うテキストを使用し、インターネット上の情報を収集・整理したり、ペアやグループで内容を話し合ったりしながら、人種問題、循環型社会、食糧問題等のトピックを考えていきます。授業の一部は英語で行います。

到達目標

英語の読解力を身につけ、論理展開の方法を学習し、国際社会で相手が聞いてわかる英語、読んでわかる英語がどのようなものかを理解し、実践できるようになります。国際問題について書かれた英文を読み、英語で意見が述べられるようになります。
