● アカデミック・ライティング演習（初級Ⅰ）Ｆ

This course will introduce students to paragraph writing. Descriptive, listing order and process paragraphs will be tackled in the first semester. Particular attention will be paid to proofreading for common grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.

Students will learn how to write different types of paragraphs and will learn how to organize and check their work for accuracy and style.

This schedule may vary slightly according to students' needs.

The classes will be conducted in English. Although this is primarily a writing class, students will be expected to discuss the various topics in English before writing about them, and to work on textbook exercises together. The teacher will give as much individual attention to each student as possible, but students will be expected to help and support each other in the learning process.

Students will be required to write ten page-long journals during the semester. Students should also review the material studied before each writing assignment.

第１学期（学期末試験）：30％（Students will be tested on their ability to write paragraphs.）

レポート：20％（Students will be asked to submit ten journals during the semester.）

小テスト：30％（Students will write 3 assignments in class time.）

平常点（出席、クラス参加、グループ作業の成果等）：20％（Students' attendance and overall participation will be evaluated.）
