授業概要

This course will cater for upper-intermediate and advanced students who are familiar with the TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test), who wish to optimize their test-taking strategies, and who may be considering studying or working abroad. Students will expand their Arts and Literature vocabulary, analyze academic concepts they have encountered in their studies and integrate them into their written and spoken output. They will actively partake in pair and group work, including making a short movie, working on a design project, and composing poetry. Students who complete the course will be able to apply their skills to TOEFL and non-TOEFL formats (IELTS, Cambridge, etc.) and to their field of study. Score Target 90+

Apply, develop and define the core vocabulary in Writing and Speaking
Summarize and Paraphrase texts on Language and Culture
Identify the skills required for TOEFL Reading
Apply US Pronunciation rules
Present their work in spoken or written form using the e-learning system
Describe the format of the TOEFL examination
Compose a short poem
Shadow a movie clip

Prepare the vocabulary exercises before coming to class each week (approx. 45 minutes)

その他

「異文化留学特別演習」は、英語英米文化学科によってクラス編成が行われる。この教科の履修を希望する学生は、３月24日（火）から４月６日（月）までの申請期間内に履修希望アンケートに回答し、仮登録の手続きを取らなければならない。手続きは指定された期間内に、英語英米文化学科事務室、及び各学年ガイダンスで取ることができる。仮登録を申請せずに履修登録を行っても履修が認められないので注意すること。
