文化・科学・自然・社会問題など多彩な分野を題材にしたテキストを読み、『ナショナルジオグラフィック』の写真と映像を楽しみながら、中級クラスで養った語彙力と読解力をさらに伸ばすことを目的とします。また、読んだ内容に関して自分の意見を言うなど、アウトプット能力の強化も目指します。

語彙を増やし、Reading skills を習得しながら、英文の直読直解に慣れ、パラグラフの要旨をまとめられるようになる。

上記の内容は年度当初の予定であり、学生の力量や授業の進度状況などにより変更の可能性があります。

原則として日本語を介さずに理解することを目標に、和訳をせず様々なタスクを通して読み進めます。ただし、単に問題の解答が合えばよいとするのではなく、英文を完全に理解するため、文法や構文にも留意していきます。毎回ワークシートを提出してもらいます。

指示したテキストの箇所を読み、ワークシートを完成させる（パラグラフの要旨をまとめ、ターゲット語彙の語義を書き、各レッスンで学んだことなどを書く）。

第１学期（学期末試験）：40％

第２学期（学年末試験）：40％

平常点（出席、クラス参加、宿題提出等）：20％
