This is a class in general oral communication and we will concentrate on listening and speaking activities. The materials we will use will be mainstream EFL activities in listening and speaking on general everyday topics. The year's schedule below lists a range of topics commonly handled at this level but may be revised according to the response of the students.

The course aims to develop the students' listening and speaking abilities at the intermediate level so that by the end of the year students can talk about themselves, their interests and everyday life.

Students will work together in pairs during the speaking activities and it is important that you make an effort to speak in English and maintain English throughout the lesson. This effort will be reflected in the grading.

Class preparation activities will vary week by week. Sometimes it will be to review the previous class work and sometimes a short reading or quiz. (about 30 minutes)

第２学期（学年末試験）：30％

小テスト：20％

平常点（クラス参加、グループ作業の成果等）：50％

A positive attitude and active participation in the class are expected and will be reflected in the grading.

There will be no textbook. I will distribute handouts each week.
