1. Practice holding conversations and discussions, making presentations, working in groups and with a partner. Develop the skills of voicing and supporting opinions on current topics.
2. Listening practice in class, and for homework (the BBC Learning English site, newsinlevels.com and eslpod.com, etc).

The textbook will be announced in the second class of the course. Students will be provided with a detailed schedule at the beginning of the course.
In pairs, students will review and comment upon each other’s writing homework as a way to help each other, and to increase their own editing/rewriting skills. Students will participate in a range of activities individually and in groups to practice and improve their speaking and listening skills.

Students will review each other’s homework in pairs in each class. If you are absent from a class it is your responsibility to find out what the homework assignment is, and complete it. You should review every lesson after class and prepare questions on what you are not sure about.
