This class offers students the chance to develop their conversational and writing English skills, starting with simple topics related to the students' daily life and gradually moving into areas requiring greater thought. A variety of topics will be presented to continue to stimulate students' interest and a relaxed atmosphere will prevail to allow for discussion. Material will be supplied by the teacher.

It is intended that by the end of the year students should be able to converse and write more fluently about various simple topics. Focus will be made on a better understanding of certain basic English grammar points, such as singulars and plurals as well as verb tenses.

This schedule will remain flexible.

Students will be divided into small groups and given an initial introduction plus some grammatical explanations. They will then be set to write and talk about different topics every week in English. Printouts containing relevant questions seeking students' answers and opinions will be handed out as guidance. correction of errors will be made, but also help as how to improve their English will be given. discussion of the topic in English will be encouraged within the groups. No textbook will be required as the material will be supplied by the teacher.

Students will be asked to conduct some research into the following week's topic.
