授業概要

This course will center around the mature expression of many themes. Reading themes will be the focus. Using vocabulary suited to various subjects, students will be given the opportunity to practice their communication. They will be encouraged to relate to comments in the classroom and to effectively respond.

到達目標

Students will be able to comprehend various themes through a reading selection. They will be able to relate this information to their everyday life encounters and to talk about the theme fully from their own experiences. They will gain vocabulary necessary to express their thoughts and to relate to other students comments.

The pace and depth of each chapter will depend on student input.

授業方法

An overview of each theme will be explained and discussed. Terminology and appropriate vocabulary will be talked about. The class atmosphere will be built around interaction and information input of the students. These comments will be used for discussion. Verbal production (speaking) is the prime point.

準備学習

Students will need to read the passage and prepare their comments to contribute to the class discussion. Writing assignments are to be done thoroughly out-of-class.
