授業概要

Though Britain occupies a high profile in the minds of most Japanese, few know anything about the lives and culture of ordinary British people. In this course, through selected readings and audio-visual material, students will have the opportunity to learn about the society and lifestyle of modern British people. In addition to a 1200+ word typed assignment about Britain, students will be expected to make a 5-10 minute presentation during the year on an aspect of British society/culture of their choice.

到達目標

This class will focus on communicative skills, in addition to learning about the culture and people of United Kingdom. With the use of selected audio-visual material, students will have an opportunity to improve their listening skills. While the pair-work comprehension work and conversation role-plays will give them the chance to improve their oral skills.
