授業方法

This class is based on a Reading Circle Model. The students read one short story per week and fill out one A4 worksheet in English reflecting on that story. They then come to class to discuss the story in small groups of four to five members. The teacher leads in developing strong groups for speaking, discussion and presentation, while facilitating and monitoring the practice of speaking English. We will be speaking English in every class.

準備学習

Students will be expected to 1)read one short chapter of the textbook per week (8-10 pages). fill in the activities at the end of each chapter (Word Focus. Story Focus 1 and 2). and fill out a Reading Circle Role Sheet--1 A4 Sheet about your reaction to the story. Homework study for this class, for regular students, will take at least 1-2 hours on a normal week and may take up 3-4 hours on special occasions such as before a presentation or an exam.
