授業方法

The role of the group leader will play an important part in the course. Every student can expect to be a group leader between three and four times in a term. Group leaders will moderate, take notes on all tasks, and report to the teacher. Students can expect to have the opportunity to speak fluently on a range of topics in English in groups as well as in front of the class and thereby become confident enough to speak in front of a group of her or his peers and speak for a number of minutes on a topic that is of interest to her or him during later group presentations. This is a key element of this class. There will also be regular media/journal assignments which will be discussed in pairs and reported to the class.

準備学習

Students should spend at least 30-60 minutes on exercises given by the teacher, usually vocabulary exercises from the book, or reading articles to prepare for class exercises. Students should also make an effort to listen to English in various media freely available on the Internet, such as podcasts, for 10-15 minutes every day as far as possible.
