授業概要

The aim of this class is to get students to communicate in English well. In order to do this, the teacher will teach speaking, listening, writing and reading in a communicative way. In addition to the four skills, the teacher will teach grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, so that the student will feel confident and competent when using English.

到達目標

The focus of the course will be on enabling the student to communicate effectively in English in the four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The student at this level will have had about seven years of English language input, for this course the teacher aims to enable the student to use the language already learnt effectively in different communicative contexts (for friendship, business, travel, and so on). Thus, the goals are (a) to revise and reactivate previously learnt vocabulary, (b) to increase knowledge of high-frequency words and phrases, and (c) to give tasks which encourage students to use all the vocabulary and language previously studied.
