The aim of this course is to encourage the students to communicate using English in the classroom and eventually outside the classroom. In this class we will study a content course on the history of entertainment especially music. The class will use the text book the history of popular music. In this course you will do presentations, reading and speaking.

The objectives of the class is to encourage the students to study English by studying The History of Popular Music.

A communicative approach will be adopted and the language of instruction will be English. Points to remember: 1. Students will be encouraged to speak in English at all times. 2. The classes start on time and so the students will be expected to come to class on time! 3. The students are encouraged to motivate themselves and become self-motivated learners. 4. When you come to class you are required to have a textbook, notebook, file, dictionary and a pen or pencil.

The students will have to prepare homework from the previous week for every class.
