In this course, we will look at a variety of news stories, magazine articles, and other forms of non-fiction from around the world. Students will read short articles on a range of current and historical events, discussing the topics in English with one another. The course will end with a group project in which students work together to make their own short magazines.

The course is aimed at students who want to improve their English communication skills, reading skills, writing skills, and ability to work in groups. Students will:

The class will be conducted entirely in English and will feature lots of small group and pair work.

Students will be required to review vocabulary at home and keep a vocabulary notebook (20 mins per week)
