授業概要

This elective course is designed to develop English communication skills at a more advanced level. The course will include a variety of interesting and innovative topics that encourage students to express their ideas and opinions. In class, the focus will be on listening and speaking practice, encouraging students to participate actively in meaningful dialogs through pair work and group activities. Written homework assignments will further enhance communicative skills and provide opportunity for individual research on topics of interest.

到達目標

The aim of the course is to develop skills and confidence to communicate in English at an advanced level. Students will be given ample opportunity in class to develop and practice their English communication skills through carefully designed pair and group exercises and presentations. They will also review grammar and vocabulary through homework assignments. At the end of the course, students will be expected to be able to talk and write about themselves, discuss certain issues and express their ideas in English with confidence.

授業方法

Many exercises call for pair and group work, so that students can interact with and learn from each other. Projects and other out-of-class work encourage students' independence.
