Professor TAMARU Risa

tamaru-1.jpg I teach the course "Seminar on Corporeal & Visual Representation." My research is on the relationship between gender, representation, and gender images in relation to the democratization of modern society and the establishment of urban mass society. I am particularly interested in the "modern girl" phenomenon as a pioneer of globalization in the world, and also the image of the "girl." My main literary works include "Modern Girls in Berlin" (published by Sanshusha), "Modern Girls in Berlin" (published by Ferris University), "Girls in Motion" (published by Shumpusha).
